Henry Hunter

Bio

Coach Hunter enters his first season on the Bulldog Coaching Staff. He is originally from New Orleans, La. where he attended St. Augustine High School. He played both football and baseball and was a 2-year letterman in football and 3-year letterman in baseball where he was also named All-District.
He played football at Louisiana College in Pineville, La. and was a 4-year letterman. He was named All-Conference as a Wide Receiver, Academic All-Conference and Special Teams Player of the Week as a return man during his playing career. He has a bachelor’s degree in Media Communications and a minor in Communication Arts. After his collegiate playing career he went on to play 6 seasons of Arena Football with the San Angelo Stampede, Alaska Wild and Louisiana Swashbucklers.
He is entering his 18th season of coaching with previous stops at Louisiana College (2008-2010), Marksville High School, Louisiana (2010-2012), Tioga High School, Louisiana (2012-2015), Dallas Woodrow Wilson High School (2015-2018) and Wylie High School (2018-2024). His roles at those stops include Wide Receivers Coach, Running Backs Coach, Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams Coordinator.
